Ferenc Töreky (1922–2016) was a Hungarian graphic designer and artist. Born in Nemesvita, he trained as a teacher at the State Teacher Training Institute in Pápa, qualifying in 1942, and taught in Újvidék and Tapolca before turning to art full time.

In 1947 he was accepted into the graphic arts department of the Academy of Applied Arts, from which he transferred to the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1952. His teachers included Barcsay Jenő, Hincz Gyula, and Koffán Károly, though he considered Konecsni György his true mentor — it was Konecsni who helped prevent his expulsion from the Academy and recommended him for the post of artistic director of the Agricultural Exhibitions, a role he held for five years.

He went on to design over a hundred domestic and international fairs, exhibitions, and product shows. He also developed visual identities and exhibition designs for major Hungarian companies and institutions, including Hungalu, Kontakta, the Ganz Electrical Works, and Hungar Hotels. He served as packaging design adviser to Magyar Hirdető and as a long-standing expert at the Fine and Applied Arts Lectureship.

His work extended to calendar art, book illustration, glass painting, and gobelin design — the latter woven by his wife. He produced significant calendar series on literary and mythological themes, and illustrated books on subjects ranging from love poetry to sexuality. His illustrations appeared regularly in the journal Alföld.

From 1995 he taught visual communication and graphic design at the Budapest University of Technology, becoming a titular professor in 2004. His textbook on visual communication was published by Nemzeti Tankönyvkiadó in 2002. He served for nine years as artistic director of the Derkovits Gyula Creative Community of Graphic Artists, and was president of the Hungarian Poster Foundation from its founding in 1993.
