The 1980s were a time of heightened tension and competition between the East and the West. This poster, titled "Everyone who is Honest Stands with Us," captures the essence of the Soviet Union's call for solidarity against perceived Western imperialism. The artwork showcases a diverse group of individuals, united in their cause, raising their fists in a symbol of unity and resistance. The central figure, with a face painted in passionate red, stands as a beacon of determination, surrounded by allies from various backgrounds.
The multilingual call for peace, with words like "PEACE," "МИР," and "FRIEDEN," emphasizes the USSR's intent to rally global support. The prominent message, "КАЖДЫЙ, КТО ЧЕСТЕН, ВСТАНЬ С НАМИ ВМЕСТЕ!" translates to "Everyone who is honest, stand with us together!" This is a direct appeal to the international community, urging those with integrity to align with the Soviet cause.
