Original vintage public health poster issued by the Perm Regional Committee for the Red Cross Society warning against the dangers of drinking alcohol featuring a green snake emerging from the neck of a green bottle and winding itself around the head of a man with a broken heart symbol on his chest and a black funeral band across the top right corner of the poster. The partial prohibition anti-alcohol campaign was introduced by Mikhail Gorbachev from 1985-1987 colloquially known as the Dry Law in the Soviet Union; in Russian culture the temptation of alcohol is referred to as the ??????? ???? / Green Serpent and the colour green is traditionally used negatively to denote alcohol and alcoholism. Very good condition, minor paper skimming on image.
